RTA Nol Pass Eligibility: Who Can Get Nol Monthly Pass?

Having a nol monthly pass allows you to use public transport vehicles in Dubai without paying the travel fare. So, everyone wants to buy a nol pass, but, not everyone is eligible for it. So, it is important to know who is eligible to get a nol monthly pass and how can you get it?

• Any individual who has a nol card, is eligible to buy a nol monthly pass in Dubai.
• Both the physical nol card and virtual nol card holders are eligible to get a nol pass.
• All registered and non-registered (anonymous) nol card users are eligible to get a nol pass.
• The registered nol card users can get a nol pass for 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and 365 days.
• The non-registered (anonymous) nol card users can get the weekly nol pass that is valid for 7 days.

How to Buy Nol Monthly Pass

There are 3 different ways to buy a nol monthly pass. These methods are applicable to buy a nol pass for 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and 365 days. Here I will share the list of methods that you can use to purchase a nol travel pass in Dubai.

Out of three methods for buying a nol card monthly pass, one method is online and two methods are offline. To help you understand well, I am going to explain each method in detail.

#1. Buy Nol Monthly Pass through nol Pay App

The nol Pay app allows all nol card users to top up their nol card, pay travel fares and buy nol products such as nol pass and others.

Buying a nol monthly pass is very easy with the nol Pay app on your mobile phone. Here I share the step-by-step process as follows;

Note: Activate NFC on your Mobile before you start the process.

Step 1: Open nol Pay App

Open the nol Pay app on your mobile phone. Simply tap on the app icon to launch it on your device and wait for a few seconds.

Step 2: Login with UAE PASS or RTA Account

Read the welcome tips and swipe right to go to login screen. Here you can login by entering your RTA Account Username & Password or by choosing Login with UAE PASS option.

Step 3: Find and Select Buy Product Option

After successful login, you need to select Buy Product option. The nol monthly pass is a nol product of RTA authority, so the Buy Product option will take you to the products page.

Step 4: Put Your Nol Card Near NFC Sensor

Now, put your nol card near NFC Sensor on the back of your mobile phone. Make sure that the NFC Sensor is able to read/scan your nol card properly, remove the phone cover if needed.

Step 5: Choose Buy Travel Pass Option

You can see various options on your phone screen, choose Buy Travel Pass option to continue. The nol monthly pass is also known as travel pass. As you tap on Buy Travel Pass option, you will reach nol pass buying page.

Step 6: Select 30-Day Pass for Nol Monthly Pass

Here you have four options i.e. 7-Day Pass (weekly), 30-Day Pass (monthly), 90-Day Pass (quarterly) and 365-Day Pass (annual). To buy a nol monthly pass, you should select the 30-Day Pass option and also enter the effective date i.e. date of activation.

Step 7: Pay the Nol Pass Price

The nol monthly pass price will appear on screen. You need to pay the pass price by a credit card or debit card. Wait for the payment process to finish and the take the next step.

Step 8: Activate Nol Pass on your Nol Card

After the payment is processed, once again put your nol card near NFC Sensor on back of your phone to Activate your nol monthly pass instantly. Once the nol pass is activated, you nol card is ready to use.

#2. Buy Nol Monthly Pass via Ticket Vending Machines

The ticket vending machines are available at all bus stations and some popular bus stops in Dubai. People can use these machines to buy nol cards, top up nol cards, check nol card balance and buy nol passes.

Follow the steps given below to buy a nol monthly pass via RTA ticket vending machines.

1. Go to your nearest RTA ticket vending machine.
2. Insert your nol card in the card reader slot.
3. Select Buy Products or Travel Pass option.
4. Choose 30-Day Pass to continue.
5. Pay the nol pass price by a credit card or debit card.
6. As the payment is successful, your nol pass will be activated by the machine.
7. Get your nol card out of the ticket vending machine.

#3. Buy Nol Monthly Pass via Ticket Office Machines

The RTA authority has ticket offices at all Metro Stations in Dubai. Each ticket office has at least one ticket machine to provide nol products and important services related to public transport.

You can buy a nol monthly pass from the ticket office at any Metro Station in Dubai, here are the steps.

1. Go to the Ticket Office at any Metro Station in Dubai.
2. Meet the office agent and request for a nol monthly pass (30-day pass).
3. Provide your nol card to the office agent and pay the nol pass price.
4. The ticket office agent will use the machine to apply for a nol pass for 30 days with your nol card.
5. As the process is complete, the agent will hand over the nol card back to you.
6. Your nol monthly pass will be activated on your nol card in next 5 minutes.

What is Dubai Metro Monthly Pass Price?

The Dubai Metro monthly pass price is 140 Dhs for 1 zone, 230 Dhs for 2 zones and 350 Dhs for all zones for Silver nol card users.

For Gold nol card users, the Dubai Metro monthly pass price is 280 Dhs for 1 zone, 460 Dhs for 2 zones and 700 Dhs for all zones.

The students, senior Emiratis and senior citizen expats get 50% discount in nol pass price. So, they can get Dubai Metro monthly pass at 70 Dhs for 1 zone, 115 Dhs for 2 zones and 175 Dhs for all zones.
