The Dubai Metro Schematic Map is the official map showing entire Dubai Metro Network in Dubai. At present, Dubai Metro operates Red Line and Green Line, both the lines cover different areas of Dubai. The Red Line and Green Line have two interchanging stations.

Dubai Metro Interchanging Stations

Dubai Metro Red Line has 35 Metro Stations, while Dubai Metro Green Line has 20 Metro Stations. Both the Red and Green Line have two common Metro Stations where passengers can interchange their Metro Train during the journey as per their requirement.

Why Do Dubai Metro Stations Names Change?

Dubai Metro was established in 2009 and today it has become a huge public transport system. In past few years, many Metro Stations are renamed e.g. Rashidiya Metro Station is now known as Centrepoint Metro Station.

The Roads & Transport Authority provide some Metro Stations to Private Companies for publicity of their brand. Both the RTA and the company sign a legal contract of 5/10 years and the company pays the agreed amount to RTA. Then the RTA changes concerned Metro Station Name to the company’s brand name for the time period stated in the contract.

So, the RTA changes Metro Stations Names for branding of private companies as per their contract.
