The RTA seasonal parking cards allow hassle-free parking in all paid public parking zones in Dubai. With a RTA seasonal parking card, you do not need to buy a parking ticket or pay the fee. So, it saves your time and money.

What is a Seasonal Parking Card in Dubai?

The seasonal parking card is a prepaid card for parking your car in paid public parking zones in Dubai. The RTA seasonal parking card is available for light vehicles only.

The RTA seasonal parking card is linked to your car’s plate number and you can park your car in a paid parking zone during the standard parking timings i.e. between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

The truck and bus drivers/owners can neither apply for a seasonal parking card nor use the card to park their vehicle(s). Each seasonal parking card comes with a certain validity of a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 1 year.

There are different types of seasonal parking cards available for different parking areas and user categories. Each seasonal parking card price is different from the other card.

How to Apply for RTA Seasonal Parking Card

You can apply for a seasonal parking card using five different methods. There are 3 online ways and 2 offline ways to apply for an RTA seasonal parking card in Dubai, let me explain it further.

#1. Apply for Seasonal Parking Card at www.rta.ae

The RTA Seasonal Parking Card Application is available online and it takes only five minutes to apply for it.

With your vehicle details or traffic file number and some personal info, you can apply for a new seasonal parking card or renew your existing seasonal parking card in Dubai.

You need to visit RTA Dubai website to apply for a seasonal parking card online. Keep reading ahead to know the step-by-step process.

Step 1: Go to RTA Dubai Official Website

You need to go to RTA Dubai official website @www.rta.ae. Click on the link to open RTA website portal in your web browser.

If the RTA website appears in Arabic language, look for English option and click on it to view the website in English.

Step 2: Choose Parking under Driver & Car Owner

On RTA website homepage, you should select Driver & Car Owner section. Under that section, you can see Vehicle Licensing, Drivers Licensing and Parking tabs. Kindly select the Parking tab to see available options.

Step 3: Click on Seasonal Parking Cards

In the Parking tab, you need to click on Seasonal Parking Cards option to go to relevant page.

Step 4: Enter Card Activation Date

Now, you have reached RTA seasonal parking card application page. Here you need to select the Card Activation Date i.e. the date from which you want to use your parking card to park your car in public parking zones of Dubai.

If you want to use the seasonal parking card from today, you should choose today’s date as the card activation date.

Step 5: Select By Plate Number or By Traffic File Number

You can apply for a seasonal parking card by your vehicle plate number or by your traffic file number. Kindly choose your desired option and provide required details to continue your application for an RTA seasonal parking card.

Step 6: Select Your Parking Card Category, Card Type and Duration

There are two parking card categories i.e. Category A and category B. Moreover, there are many card types like General, Area, Multistory, Student and others. You should check the different categories/types and choose the seasonal parking card that is suitable for your needs.

Step 7: Enter Your Personal Details and Continue

In Personal Details section, you need to enter your Full Name, Mobile Number and Email. Kindly provide all your personal details correctly and click on Continue button to go to confirmation page.

Step 8: Confirm and Pay the Card Fee Online

Check your vehicle details, personal details and parking card category/type that you want to buy or renew online. Then click on Confirm & Pay option to go to payment page.

Pay the seasonal parking card fee online by a credit card or other payment method.

Step 9: Receive Virtual Parking Card Instantly

On completion of all 8 steps given above, you will receive your virtual parking card via email. You can also login to DubaiNow App or RTA Dubai App to view your seasonal parking card in the app.

#2. Get Seasonal parking card through RTA Dubai App

You can apply for a seasonal parking card by using the RTA Dubai App or DubaiNow App on your mobile phone. Both the mobile apps are available to download and use for free for Android and Apple iOS devices i.e. iPhone and iPad.

Kindly follow the steps given below to apply for a seasonal parking card via RTA Dubai App or DubaiNow App.

1. Open RTA Dubai App or DubaiNow App.
2. Login to the app with your Username & Password.
3. Find and Select Seasonal Parking Cards under Parking Services for Driver and Owner.
4. Select Card Activation Date and provide either your vehicle plate number or traffic file number.
5. Choose your desired parking card category, card type and duration/validity.
6. Provide your personal details and pay the fee online.
7. Soon you will be able to view your virtual seasonal parking card right in the app.

#3 Apply for Seasonal Parking Card through Mahboub Chatbot

The RTA Dubai has developed a virtual assistant called Mahboub Chatbot. It provides free assistance to website visitors to find their desired service.

You can chat with Mahboub to apply for a seasonal parking card at RTA website. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Go to RTA Dubai Website Portal

First of all, visit the RTA Dubai official website portal @www.rta.ae.

Step 2: Scroll down and click on Chat with Mahboub

On RTA Dubai homepage, scroll down to Engage with Us section. Then click on Chat with Mahboub to open a small window of RTA Virtual Assistant Mahboub.

Step 3: Provide Your Name, Mobile Number and Email

The Mahboub Chatbot will ask your personal details. Here you need to provide Your Name, Mobile Number and Email, then click on Submit button.

Out of these details, your name is mandatory, while mobile number and email are optional.

Step 4: Type Your Query about Seasonal Parking Card

After providing your personal info, you should put your query in the chat box. Here you want to apply for a seasonal parking card, so you should type Seasonal Parking Card and click on Send button.

Step 5: Read the Service Info and Click Apply Now

The Mahboub Chatbot will show up complete information about the seasonal parking card. You can read the service info like eligibility, services fees, process time, etc. on the right side.

After reading complete service information, click on Apply Now to proceed.

Step 6: Follow On-screen Instructions to Finish

Now you should follow on-screen instructions and provide required information about yourself, your car plate number or traffic file number and other info. Thereafter pay the service fee by your credit card and submit the application.

On completing the application process and fee payment, you will receive your seasonal parking card via email.

#4. Apply through RTA Self Service Machines [Smart Kiosks]

The Roads & Transport Authority has installed RTA Smart Kiosks at all bus stations and popular public places in Dubai.

These kiosks are also known as RTA self service machines that you can use to buy bus tickets, top up nol cards and apply for seasonal parking cards. The step-by-step process to get a seasonal parking card from an RTA self service machine is as under;

1. Go to your nearest RTA Self Service Machine (Smart Kiosk).
2. Select Driver & Owner>Parking>Seasonal Parking Cards/Permits.
3. Enter card activation date and your traffic file number or vehicle plate number.
4. Select your desired parking card and validity.
5. Provide your full name, mobile number and email.
6. Pay the card fee by a credit card and submit.
7. Your will receive your seasonal parking card instantly.

You should check your email inbox or RTA Dubai App or DubaiNow App on your mobile to view your virtual seasonal parking card.

Notable Points:

• Individuals whose vehicles are registered in Dubai, only they can apply for a seasonal parking card through RTA Self Service Machines (Smart Kiosks).
• The individuals whose vehicles are registered outside Dubai, are also not allowed to apply through self service machines.
• The companies cannot apply for seasonal parking cards through RTA self service machines.

#5. Apply at RTA Customer Happiness Centers

The seasonal parking card/permit service is available at all RTA Customer Happiness Centers. You can visit one of the following service centers to apply for a seasonal parking card for your car and/or other light vehicles.

Follow the steps given below to apply for a seasonal parking card at RTA Customer Happiness Centers.

1. Go to your nearest RTA Customer Happiness Center.
2. Meet the service employee and request for a seasonal parking card/permit.
3. Provide your name, email, mobile number, traffic file number and vehicle plate number.
4. Select your suitable parking card and choose the duration.
5. Provide other required details and pay the parking card fee.
6. On completion of process, you will receive your seasonal parking card via email.

In this way, you can apply for a seasonal parking card in Dubai via two online methods and two offline methods.

Parking Areas for Seasonal Parking Cards

The RTA seasonal parking cards are allowed in all public parking areas of Dubai except the excluded areas.

• People with Category A Parking Cards (General) can park their vehicle(s) in Dubai paid public parking zones marked with A, B, C, D.
• People with Category B Parking Cards (Area) can park their vehicle(s) in Dubai paid public parking zones marked with B, D.

Excluded Areas for Seasonal Parking Cards

The RTA seasonal parking cards allow you to park your car in all paid pubic parking areas of Dubai except the excluded areas. The seasonal parking cards do not work in these areas, you can check the list of excluded areas here.

If you want to park your car in one of the above listed areas of Dubai, you must get a parking ticket and pay the parking fee. Because the RTA seasonal parking cards are not valid in these areas.

How to Pay for Parking with Seasonal Parking Card

When you have a seasonal parking card, you do not need to pay the parking fee in designated paid parking zones in Dubai.

If you have a plastic parking card;

• You must place your RTA seasonal parking card on your car’s dashboard.
• Make sure that the card is visible from outside so that the parking inspector can see it to verify that you have a valid parking card to park your car there.

If you do not have a plastic parking card;

• You must get DubaiNow App or RTA Dubai App and select the vehicle & parking zone with your virtual parking card in the app.
• When the parking inspector will scan your vehicle plate number, s/he will get to know that you already have a seasonal parking card linked to your car.

How Many Vehicles Can Add to One Seasonal Parking Card?

Before you apply for a seasonal parking card in Dubai, you must know how many vehicles you can link to your parking card.

The RTA Dubai allows to link up to 3 vehicles with one seasonal parking card but there are some terms & conditions.

• You can add up to 3 vehicles with one seasonal parking card but all 3 vehicles must be registered in Dubai under the same traffic file number.
• 3 vehicles under same traffic file number are allowed to link with one parking card but you can use the parking card to park only one vehicle at a time.
• If the vehicle is registered outside Dubai, only 1 vehicle is allowed to link with one parking card.
• If the seasonal parking card is issued to a company, only 1 vehicle is allowed to link with one parking card.
